The official trailer for “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts” has been released.
In the trailer, released by HBO Max on this past Monday, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson reunite with cast members and filmmakers from all eight of the franchise’s films to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the series’ first film, “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”.
The “retrospective special,” that was announced last month “invites fans on a magical first-person journey through one of the most beloved film franchises of all time.” Cast member and contributors that will be present in the reunion special include Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Tom Felton, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Mark Williams, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Ian Hart, Toby Jones, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch, producer David Heyman, and filmmakers Chris Columbus, Alfonso Cuarón, Mike Newell, and David Yates.
The writer and creator of the Harry Potter books J.K. Rowling is not interviewed in the special due to her recurring anti-trans comments, however she will be featured in archived content.
The special will be streamed exclusively on Sky and will be available to watch on NOW from the morning of New Year’s Day. It will be available in the US on HBO Max on the same day.
