As she bursts through the door and announces herself you soon forget the heat as you instantly feel like you have known Alison Spittle for a lifetime, as she shares intimate and hilarious stories we’d probably only tell our closest friends.
Up to now in her career, which includes her own TV show in Ireland, being the co-host and co-creator of the cult smash hit podcast ‘Wheel of Misfortune’ for BBC Sounds, a regular co-host on The Guilty Feminist podcast and a writer for ‘Have I Got News For You’, she is proud to have not talked about her vagina for laughs like so many others, but now, thankfully for us, is the time for her to reveal all, not literally obviously.
For the next hour we are treated to tales of being an ex-catholic, mental health, bad hand jobs, punch ups at aqua aerobics and tales of vaginal strength that will take your breath away.
Alison delivers her material with absolute joy and this show, Wet, takes her fear of getting pregnant and turns it into nuggets of comedy gold, so much so that more than a few times she finds herself laughing along with the audience, which just makes her even more likeable.
As she finishes the set, assuring us all that everything is fine, she skips out the door and leaves the audience still laughing about what they have just witnessed and happy that she is doing just fine.
