Last Saturday’s England v France World Cup Quarter Final match was watched by a huge number of 23 million people on ITV and ITVX. As the Three Lions were narrowly defeated by France, the game drew in the biggest audience of the tournament and it is the most watched programme of any channel on television this year.
Across those viewing the World Cup quarter finals on all devices, an average audience of 20.4 million viewers watched the match – with an average of almost 16 million viewers [15.8m] watching the full live and exclusive coverage.
With England out of the World Cup, the semi finals will begin tomorrow with Argentina v Croatia, and France v Morocco on Wednesday.
