Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived

We all remember the rhyme from school but I didn’t remember much else other than he wrote that ice cream van banger ‘Greensleeves’ about Anne

The wives are back with some bangers of their own and they are telling their stories, re-telling history as a pop perfect girl band which has caught the imagination of young girls worldwide. A diverse cast, an all-female band, a tour of different musical genres (yes even euro pop) SIX is a gig, but in the theatre and it works.

The stage is set as a competition as to who was the most royally screwed, each taking to lead vocals to tell their story, no spoilers here, it’s HER-story after all, peppering their performances with double entendre subtle enough that they don’t register with the younger audience members, and we are learning, and having fun doing it.

It’s feminist, it’s fun, its four stars
