Unlike many comedy shows Zafar’s fifth solo show follows one story the whole way through, making it not only a fabulous hour of comedy but one of hilarious storytelling too.
The show follows a crazy situation with a flatmate in a shared house just days before he’s due to get married and move out. His newest flatmate is determined to make things difficult for him. Well slightly more than difficult.
It’s one of those stories that is just so incredibly crazy that you wouldn’t quite believe Zafar if it wasn’t for the convincingly detailed way he describes the situation. Full of crazy twists and turns involving multiple emergency services alongside serious wedding planning issues this show has the audience in fits of giggles.
Zafar has a soft spoken and friendly stage presence and the way he tells his story is much more like having a good gossip with your friend than watching a comedian on stage. The audience immediately warms to him and some audience members even chime into his stories which he negotiates with ease.
He has such a compelling and wonderful way of telling his jokes and his catchphrases and witty call-backs to some of the previous moments only add to this.
A great mix of storytelling crazy life experiences and hilarious one liners Zafar’s show has got something for everyone. This show has been perfectly curated and the ending to his show is just perfect.
