“Sam Morrison’s superb show about his partner’s death proves grief is not beyond comedy’s reach.” GUARDIAN
‘Arch sass and polished panache’ NEW YORK TIMES
“Bitingly funny” CHORTLE
“His openness and wit…ultimately his catharsis and the audience’s laughter draw everyone together in tragedy and comedy’s borderland” THE NEW YORKER
Following the success of his sell-out set at London’s Soho Theatre earlier in May, US comedian Sam Morrison is back with five more shows this October. The dates start on Tuesday 24th October and run until Saturday 28th October.
This Spring Sam performed an extended off-Broadway run at the Soho Playhouse with the show (hailed as “the best new show in New York right now” by the Daily Beast). Continuing his success, he also debuted an outstanding set on ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’ this year.
The show is a celebration and ode to his partner, who unfortunately lost his life to Covid. Sam makes his own tragedy funny, despite his pain, and serves as a reminder to have light and laughter in difficult times.
Sam is originally from Sarasota, Florida but is currently based in Greenpoint where he is a staple of the Brooklyn comedy scene and plays ultimate frisbee with his least athletic friends. He is an anxious gay diabetic Jew who finds humour in the sad, awkward, and shameful.
