Tell us about your show. Why should we go and see it?

Because I need the money!

What are your hopes and dreams for the Fringe?.

My hopes and dreams for the Fringe are to find some really weird shit to watch on my time off whilst drinking as much Buckfast as my liver can cope with.

What makes you laugh?

I love it when the audience holds their breath because they don’t know what the performer is going to say next. Comedy that’s shocking but also really clever in how it’s delivered.

What three words best describe your performance style – and why.

Sassy, shady, singing cartoon-clown. I’m very aware that’s more than three words but drag queens always break the rules.

How will your audience think/feel differently after an hour in your company?

It depends where they’re sat. If they’re on the front row they’re in the splash zone, so they might walk away traumatized.

What kind of shows – apart from your own – are you looking forward to seeing at the Edinburgh Fringe?

Six the Musical was born at the Fringe, so I’d love to see another grassroots musical with some legs this year.

The cost of living is a big issue this year – will it make this Fringe more challenging?

It’s just going to mean you’ll have to be really decisive this year when you’re choosing which acts to see. You want to know they’ll be really good before spending your money.

What do you predict will emerge as the big themes of this year.

There’s obviously going to be a lot of politics, but I hope we a lot of LGBTQ+ representation and telling the Tories to go F*** themselves.

Who is your showbiz idol and why.

It depends, I have so many! My musical idols are different to my comedy idols, but if I had to pick a single person it’d have to be Lilly Savage. We’re from a similar background, and I’ve learned so much from her comedy style. My musical icon would definitely be Adele!

What is your idea of a perfect Fringe moment?

The punchline lands, the crowd erupts, the band starts playing and the next song gets a standing ovation. You know, just the small things!
