The mega festival has released the initial list of their performing artists for this year’s festival.

As always, even the initial list is already promising this year to be one that has a lot to offer.

As we gear up to attend our third SXSW, the first acts to be announced always lights the fire of prep and planning. We can’t wait until we get to put our boots on and fly over the pond to see the best new and established musicians have to offer.

Some notable names released include:

BODEGA (New York NY), cumgirl8 (New York NY), Desire (Los Angeles CA), Dry Cleaning (London UK-ENGLAND), Faux Real (Los Angeles CA), Georgia Gets By (Nelson NEW ZEALAND), Giovannie & The Hired Guns (Stephenville TX), greek (Martinsville VA), Hermanos Gutierrez (Zurich SWITZERLAND), Hinds (Madrid SPAIN), Lo Moon (Los Angeles CA), Omar S (Detroit MI), Rawayana (Caracas VENEZUELA), Reality Club (Jakarta INDONESIA), Red Axes (Tel Aviv ISRAEL), Viji (London UK-ENGLAND), and waterbaby (Stockholm SWEDEN).

It’s great to see so many different countries represented already from our first list. The lone-star state looks like it’ll be in for a crazy ride this year – and we simply can’t wait to be there.

We review music, comedy, and films at SXSW – so keep an eye out for our day-to-day coverage when the festival starts!
