Grunge girl band The SoapGirls are hoping to win hearts in the US as they gear up for a major US tour.

It follows the success of ‘Breathe’, released in 2022 with an accompanying video, which has become their most successful track to date.

Drawing on eclectic influences such as Janes Addiction, A Perfect Circle, and Blondie, “Breathe” is a masterclass in The SoapGirls’ unique brand of grunge.

Sisters Camille and Noémie Debray began their act as buskers on the streets of Cape Town. They sold soap to tourists, donating the proceeds to local hospitals, which earned them the name of their act.

As teenagers they soared to Number One on the South African album charts with their dance pop debut album Xperience.

After breaking free from a restrictive record deal with Universal, The SoapGirls embraced a DIY approach, offering rock and grunge anthems ever since. With over 460,000 streams on Spotify and millions of views on their creative music videos, tracks like ‘Society’s Reject,’ ‘Jonny Rotten,’ and ‘Heart in Bloom’ underscore their undeniable presence in the music industry.
As they gear up for their upcoming US tour, The SoapGirls are ready to bring their daring performance prowess to the States, promising a series of unforgettable shows that showcase their raw talent and fearless spirit.
