Otter Lee gives a high-energy performance through song, comedy, and theatrics on stage.
Lee immediately has the audience eating out of the palm of his hand as he explains his love for the great unifier, Princess Diana. This is also the reason the relationship Lee has with his father is a complicated one, considering he is a “dick” who photographs him as a weeping toddler outside of Buckingham Palace crying Diana’s name. This cascades into a running gag about the overwhelming empathy he feels for white women.
Lee also incorporates an element of musicality, bursting into his own renditions of popular Disney songs based on his relationships. From this, Lee explains why a certain condition is non-negotiable in the bedroom, and that it has ousted him from the gay community.
The focus on Lee’s failed dating record makes for incredible comedy at the expense of Lee himself. He realises he likes men like his father and reconsiders his own sexuality after a dead-end situationship.
Afterwards, Lee receives a standing ovation, which is agreeable after consistently solid material for an hour, as well as recalling lyrics to a song about anal to the tune of “A Whole New World” from Aladdin.
