Tweedy’s Massive Circus is a vibrant spectacle wrapped up in a whirlwind of colour. At the heart of this rollicking adventure is Tweedy the clown who along with the help of his friends, try to scramble together a circus show so that they don’t get shut down.

Tweedy is a clown with oodles of energy and is always causing mischief for the circus’s stern benefactor Madame Loren. Along with his trusty bumbling sidekick Sam, they haphazardly improvise a circus show when their acts are a mysterious no show and Madame Loren threatens to shut down the circus permanently.

It seems from the outside that Tweedy’s Massive Circus has the potential to be Tweedy’s Massive Health and Safety Hazard. Although nothing goes too much more awry than planned, one act includes Sam tightrope walking on a piece of duct tape between two ladders high off the ground and without support in sight, just Tweedy egging him on from below.

Tweedy has something for everyone during this show, jokes that fly over the kids’ heads for the mums and dads, as well as obviously some involvement for the kids. Tweedy is also a master of improvisation and even when things appear to go wrong the it is played off with ease.

Tweedy’s Massive Circus, Underbelly’s Circus Hub – The Beauty, 13:05, Aug 9-11, 13-18, 20-21.
