The Queen, who succeeded to the throne in 1952 aged 25, has received countless tributes by the entertainment world who all mourn the great loss. From Elton John and Mick Jagger, to Ozzy Osbourne and Helen Mirren, fellow Brits pay their respects.
“Along with the rest of the nation, I am deeply saddened to hear the news of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s passing,” Elton John said. “She was an inspiring presence to be around and led the country through some of our greatest and darkest moments with grace, decency and a genuine caring warmth.
“Queen Elizabeth has been a huge part of my life from childhood to this day,” he added. “And I will miss her dearly.”

Ozzy Osbourne, who played at the Queen’s Jubilee in 2002, also took to social media to express his condolences.
“I mourn with my country the passing of our greatest Queen,” the Black Sabbath front tweeted. “With a heavy heart I say it is devastating the thought of England without Queen Elizabeth II.”
Helen Mirren, who played an Oscar winning performance of Queen Elizabeth in the 2006 film The Queen, posted on Instagram.
“I am proud to be an Elizabethan,” she wrote. “We mourn a woman, who, with or without the crown, was the epitome of nobility.”
