The UK-based Romanian actor Catinca Maria Nistor is rightly celebrating her appearance alongside Oscar-winning Dame Helen Mirren in the new highly anticipated film Golda.
Golda follows Israel’s first female prime minister Golda Meir, played by Mirren, and her responsibilities and decisions as the ‘Iron Lady of Israel’ faced during the Yom Kippur War of 1973. The film also features Camille Cottin (House of Gucci, Stillwater) and is directed by Oscar-winning director Guy Nattiv. Golda premiered last month at the Berlin Film Festival.
“As an actor of Romanian descent, it’s a great honour to film with international talent, especially with an A-List star like Helen Mirren. Golda is the fascinating real-life story of a strong woman, and Helen Mirren beautifully portrays this through her incredible skills! To be involved in this process has been absolutely inspiring to me.”
