Rebus: A Game Called Malice – a Rebus drama written for the stage by Ian Rankin and Simon Reade – tours the UK in Autumn, starring Gray O’Brien.
The detective drama opens at the Cambridge Arts Theatre on August 29, before a stint at Edinburgh’s Festival theatre from September 10 – 14, with the tour continuing at theatres around the country until a stint at the Lighthouse, Poole, from November 26 – 30.
The action centres around a splendid dinner party, in an Edinburgh mansion, with a murder mystery game created by the hostess. But the guests, who include Inspector John Rebus, have secrets of their own. There are suspects, clues and danger with every twist and turn – and a shocking discovery which sends this game called ‘Malice’ hurtling towards a gasp-inducing conclusion.
