The Great British Bake Off – The Musical is coming to Cheltenham

If you’re a fan of ‘The Great British Bake Off,’ then you may be excited to hear that ‘The great British Bake Off: The musical,’ will be making its debut this summer at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham. The musical will is set to contain eight bakers, two presenters and two judges, in hopes to replicate the original tv show. 

The musical was created alongside The Great British Bake Off’s long-term producer – Richard Mckerrow and the production company ‘Love productions.’ In an interview with The Times producer Mckerrow stated that he got his idea by watching the American spin off, in his interview he mentions that: ‘There is something about singing that is like baking: you do it for yourself but for other people.’ Richard Mckerrow also worked alongside song writers, Jake Brunger and Pippa Cleary to compose the 18 original songs for the just announced musical.

Everyman theatre described that the audience will be able to “Follow the trials and tribulations of our bakers, all with their own stories to tell and as unique from one another as their marvellous baked creations,” Even though the casting for musical has yet to be announced, with the huge 6.9million people watching the Great British Bake Off finally within the UK, the musical is predicted to be a huge success. 

Ticket prices are available now, prices range from £22 to £48.
