The Entertainment Now Wow Awards, now in their third year, announce their first series of winners today.
The WoW (Week on Week) Awards are given to shows recommended as outstanding by Entertainment Now’s brilliant team of reviewers.
This week we have two winners of Outstanding Comedy:
Finlay Christie (recommended by Entertainment Now deputy editor Victoria Nangle for his show I Deserve This at Monkey Barrel.

The award for Best Family Show, recommended by reviewer and teacher Alan Shaw, goes to Doktor Kaboom, for his show Man of Science at the Pleasance. You can read Alan’s five star review of the show here:
John Meagher, won the award for Newcomer (Fringe debut) for his show Big Year at the Gilded Balloon after being seen and recommended by Teddy Jamieson. You can read his review of his fellow Irishman’s comedy debut here.
Our theatre award goes to Adam Riches: Jimmy at Summerhall. The veteran Fringe comic’s examination of tennis legend Jimmy Connors was recommended by one of our junior reviewers, Ross Chalmers. You can read his review of the former Edinburgh Comedy Award winners foray into theatre here:
