Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express is a classic, but this stage version felt anything but dated. It was sharp, stylish, and full of clever scenes changes and theatrical moments that really keep you involved.
The staging was a real highlight. The way they handled the train – moving seamlessly between interior and exterior scenes – was genuinely impressive. It gave the whole thing a dynamic, almost cinematic, feel without ever distracting from the performances
And talking about performances, every single one hit the mark. The cast were excellent across the board. Looked the part, well-paced delivery, great chemistry, and just the right balance of tension and humour.
The show moves along at just the right pace and keeps things engaging right through to the final reveal, whether you already know whodunnit or not.
Definitely worth catching if it’s on near you. A solid show and a great reminder of why Christie’s stories still hold up today.
