At just 19 years old, Ronzoni Hines is already shaking up the UK music scene with a confidence and charisma well beyond his years. His latest single, “That’s Her”, dropping May 30th to mark his birthday week, feels like a statement of intent – a sleek, self-produced funk-soul jam that firmly cements his place among the country’s most compelling new voices.

Blending the classic cool of Michael Jackson and the swagger of Lenny Kravitz with the slick polish of Ne-Yo, “That’s Her” is a vibrant ode to the unapologetic, self-assured women who inspire him. “To me, ‘That’s Her’ is an anthem for strong, confident women who aren’t afraid to be themselves,” says Hines “It’s about that allure – that bit of sass, bit of ego – that’s so attractive. The line ‘Bad girls rule the world’ is really the heart of it.”

Anchored by that instantly iconic hook – #BGRW is already making noise across socials – the track pulses with after-hours energy, seductive basslines, and a strut-worthy groove that invites repeat listens. It’s pure vibe, but with a lyrical bite that feels personal and empowering.

Hines cut his teeth performing with a Jackson 5 tribute group, and that early stage experience shows. Whether he’s in the studio or on stage – like his recent magnetic showing at Mystery Live: Phoenix Edition – there’s an ease to the way he commands attention, his dynamic vocal delivery balanced by sharp production instincts. Every detail on “That’s Her” is his own – written, produced, and performed entirely by Hines – a testament to both his vision and his work ethic.

It follows a string of buzzworthy releases including “Last Night” and “Trance”, which marked him out as one to watch. But “That’s Her” feels like the next level: a funkier, bolder step into his artistry, pairing live instrumentation with forward-thinking R&B-pop textures. The result is a sound that’s unmistakably his – nostalgic but never stuck in the past, commercial but rooted in soul.

There’s a refreshing sincerity in the way Hines talks about his music. He’s not chasing trends – he’s carving his own lane, grounded in respect for those who came before, but not afraid to shake things up. “This one just felt right,” he says. “Like it was time to say something with a little more attitude. And have fun with it.”
