Brighton’s premier Indian restaurant is turning up the heat this October with a devilishly fun Halloween menu and an autumn feast that celebrates seasonal flavours, alongside their newly launched “Spice of Chance” dice game that’s already getting diners talking.

From 24th to 31st October, Indian Summer is serving up “spooky twists on their favourites” with a limited-edition Halloween menu that proves Indian cuisine and Halloween make the perfect pairing.

Cocktail lovers can sink their teeth into the Spice Cemetery (£12), a potent blend of Old Monk Rum, orange juice, jaggery syrup, mango and chilli that’s “guaranteed to wake the spirits.” For those seeking a fright without the alcohol, the Franken-Chai (£9) combines Lytres 0% Agave Spirit, hibiscus syrup, masala chai tea, lemon and Coca Cola. It’s “angelically alcohol free!”

The Essentials section features Fright Night Fries (£9.50), golden fries smothered in melted cheese, tamarind and tomato chutney that are “wickedly addictive”, and The Walking Bread (£5.50), soft naan stuffed with chilli and cheese that has “risen from the dead and ready to be devoured!”

Rounding out the spooky offerings is Death by Chocolate (£9), a dark chocolate mousse served with chocolate brownie vampire bites. As the menu warns: “Say goodbye to sanity!”

Running Sunday to Thursday throughout October, Indian Summer’s October Feast offers exceptional value at £35 per person (two person minimum). Each experience begins with a welcome drink: a choice of prosecco, half pint of IPA/lager, or 125ml house wine.

Diners can choose from three distinct experiences:

The Meat Experience features starters including Sweet Potato & Onion Pakora, Tandoori Paneer, Samosa Chaat, Chicken Tikka and Indian Salad with chutneys. The generous Thali includes Mamaji’s Chicken, Lamb Mewari, Butter Chicken, Dal, Paneer Butter Masala, Aloo Baignan, Naan, Lemon Rice, Mango & Pineapple Chutney, Raita, and Papad.

The Vegetarian Experience offers similar starters with Tandoori Corn Cobs replacing the chicken tikka, whilst the Thali showcases Paneer Butter Masala, Channa Masala, Vegan Vegetable Kari, Dal, Vegetable Sambhar, and all the accompaniments.

For plant-based diners, the Vegan Experience delivers a starter spread featuring Sweet Potato & Onion Pakora, Tandoori Corn Cobs, Samosa Chaat, mini Masala Dosa, and Indian Salad with chutneys. The vegan Thali includes Channa Masala, Vegan Vegetable Kari, Tarka Dal, Vegetable Sambhar, Aloo Baignan, Cauliflower Bhaji, Naan, Lemon Rice, and Mango & Pineapple Chutney with Papad.

All experiences can be made gluten-free upon request.

Both seasonal menus run alongside Indian Summer’s exciting new Spice of Chance initiative, launched on 5th October. Available Sunday to Thursday between 5-7pm, diners get one chance to roll the dice at the end of their meal for prizes ranging from free desserts to having their entire bill wiped clean.

“We wanted to create something that turns a night out into a story you can’t wait to share,” explains owner Rob Heasman. “Spice of Chance gives every table a shot at winning big, from free desserts to the entire bill on us. It’s suspense, laughter, and a bit of chaos rolled into one. Where else in Brighton can dinner end with a dice roll that makes the whole restaurant cheer?”

The prizes are tantalising: roll double sixes and your entire bill is free; double threes wins one main course; a 4+2 earns a complimentary cocktail or mocktail; and a 5+1 secures a free dessert.

Brighton locals also have reason to celebrate, with Indian Summer offering 15% off food bills Monday to Thursday for all residents. Simply bring proof of postcode.

Indian Summer is located in the heart of Brighton’s Lanes. For bookings and more information, visit their website. Both Halloween Specials and October Feast are available for dine-in only.
