American stand up Jamie Wolf was crowned Edinburgh Fringe Comedian of the Year after a live Grand Final in which results were decided by the audience.
More a hundred comics took part in live heats for the competition, which is run by Need to Know Comedy.
The live final had an international line up – featuring Donal Vaughan, from Ireland, El Purnell from Ecuador, Vlad Ilich from North Macedonia and Devin Gray from South Africa.
Gemma, of competition producers Need To Know Comedy, said:
“Thanks to everyone that has attended a show and cast their votes this year. You — as well as our comedians — have made this year’s competition a stunning series of shows. Here’s to an even bigger 2027!”
The Edinburgh Fringe Comedian of the Year was created to celebrate the extraordinary depth of comedy at the world’s biggest arts festival — bringing together performers from across the UK and around the world and putting the ultimate decision in the hands of the people who came to watch them.
The winner takes home a trophy and £1.500 in cash.
