The Greatest Magic Show allows children to become magicians. This enchanting show encourages audience participation from everyone, from kids to adults, with plenty of it.
As you enter, all children are offered a wand and are prompted to use it throughout the performance.
Magicians Sam and Justin carry the whole show well, alongside the Ring Master. They treat the kids as if they are as much a part the shows as themselves.
The Australian duo is engaging and able to hold the audience’s attention for the entirety of the hour. There is a clear rapport between the two, which offers comic relief and inside jokes for the adults, as you see how they keep entertained doing the same show for full run.
For each trick, there is an opportunity for a child or two from the audience to get up on stage to help. They are all excited to be involved and get to play a major part.
The tricks have a wow factor and silliness to them, which leaves the audience in stitches. There are new twists on classic routines.
Whilst they do not perform many tricks, they are performed to the highest standard. Each routine lasts a considerable amount of time and has been well thought out. They are well tailored to the age demographic and are something I believe I would enjoy at that age.
There is a definite wow factor to the show, that causes you to believe what you see and wondering how on earth they did that.
The Greatest Magic Show , 13:10, Palais du Variété at Assembly George Square Gardens, until August 25 (not 14, 18)
