The Graham Norton book club returns to Audible for third season with star line up

Audible, a world-wide leader in spoken-word entertainment, has announced the return of The Graham Norton Book Club for a third series, which launched this week (9th June).

The new series of the chart-topping podcast showcases national treasure Graham Norton return to the microphone to discuss all things literary and audio with both bestselling authors and acclaimed narrators. Once again, he will be joined by alternating co-hosts journalist Alex Clark and author Sara Collins (The Confessions of Frannie Langton), as well as bookclubbers from across the country, bringing listeners book reviews, reading recommendations, interviews, publishing news and more.

The all-star line-up due to appear alongside Graham across the ten episode run of the new series include Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness, critically acclaimed actresses Minnie Driver (Good Will Hunting, Starstruck), Sheila Hancock (The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, A Discovery of Witches) and Indira Varma (Game of Thrones, Luther), DJ and presenter Sara Cox, Star Trek: The Next Generation‘s Wil Wheaton,and broadcaster and debut novelist Reverend Richard Coles. Graham will also speak with a host of renowned authors about their writing careers, including Women’s Prize winner Maggie O’Farrell (Hamnet), queen of the bonkbuster Jilly Cooper (Riders), award-winning authors Bryan Washington (Memorial) and Gwendoline Riley (Cold Water), Vera and Shetland creator Ann Cleeves (The Heron’s Cry), Trinidadian novelist and playwright Earl Lovelace (Is Just a Movie), bestselling fantasy writer N.K. Jemisin (The Fifth Season), novelist and satirist Jonathan Coe (Middle England), and poet Salena Godden (Mrs Death Misses Death).

Previous series of The Graham Norton Book Club have featured guests including rock star Dave Grohl, illusionist Derren Brown, comedian Sara Pascoe, and stars of stage and screen Miriam Margoyles (Blackadder, Call The Midwife) and Celia Imrie (dinnerladies, Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again), as well as literary legends Margaret Atwood (The Handmaid’s Tale), Bernardine Evaristo (Manifesto), Matt Haig (The Midnight Library), Zadie Smith (White Teeth), and Marian Keyes (Rachel, Again) among others.

The Daily Telegraph reviewed The Graham Norton Book Club as “a warm, welcoming, bookish atmosphere and….a happy new addition for any bookworm’s subscription roster”, while The Times said “the sheer star-wattage will surely never be surpassed on a books podcast”.

The Graham Norton Book Club is now released. It is available free for Audible members, or free to download with Audible’s 30-day trial.
