Freya Parker is a self-proclaimed cheeky guy. She is the front-guy, the advocate and fearless leader of the cheeky guy movement and alliance. She has a lot to say about her life-long position.

It all starts in her age of innocent adolescence with some cheeky death threats and feigning the inability to hear at summer camp. The cheek never left. Parker may be mere 5 feet on the dot, but that doesn’t inhibit her ability to command the space. Granted the space is small, but her voice and presence supersede the little black box. Quickly you are adopted into her troupe of cheeky guys. Or rather, she uses the plural term for cheeky guys, ‘chuckle’. She endearingly refers to you and the audience as such for the whole show.

A comfortable performer, you get the sense she is completely at ease. Her personality is on full display as humour is delivered through her quirks and idiosyncrasies. They come to life through her engaging storytelling, a strength of the show by far. It is critical to note that the humour is most definitely shaped by the cheek of the Millennial generation. If you relate to or are a fan of good old Millenial cheek, the show has a big chance of being up your alley.

Though she lives an anxiety fuelled life as a catastrophizer, she never fails to see the humour in her brain’s tendency to make mountains out of molehills. Even the traumatic death of her father is worked through with the catharsis of laughter. It is a joy to watch someone so comfortable in their own skin, as you learn the ways of the ultimate cheeky guy.
