Walking into the venue I don’t think I understood or realised what type of crazy show I was getting myself into. From Curries’ energetic opening, flashing disco lights and loud music I soon realised I was in for a wild ride.
It’s hard to explain a show like this because it is so wacky crazy and abstract but I will say my favourite few moments included a flying plastic hand, some slightly disturbing puppetry work and a startling yet insanely hilarious moment with a bowl of cornflakes and milk.
It’s genuinely hard to believe that this is Curries first fully non-verbal show because he has already mastered it. The whole show is rip-roaringly hilarious throughout and there was not one boring or dull moment, every second there was something new and silly and the whole hour was just insanity.
Currie has a fabulous energy and appeal that helps him to connect with his audience and makes this show so wonderful. Absolutely packed full of audience participation and crowd work the show brings the audience together as one, laughing together and gasping with shock and intrigue together. No one is safe from being dragged up on to stage in this show, whether you’re sitting up the back, in the middle of your row or at the very front he will still come and drag you on stage with him.
Currie is a true delight to watch and I left with a huge smile on my face and completely in awe of what I had just witnessed. His talent and presence are truly special and no other person could replicate this show. He’s created a real masterpiece of comedy that is just so interesting, unique and jaw dropping.
