It’s preview season at the Museum of Comedy, a venue hidden away in the basement of a baroque church in the heart of London.

Edinburgh Award nominee Chris Cantrill, New Comedian of the Year winners Will Owen and Sam Lake, Live at the Apollo’s Spring Day and viral sensations Ali Woods and Derek Mitchell will all be appearing over the next weeks.

The Museum of Comedy, which features an entrance hall festooned with music hall and comedy memorabilia is a favourite stop for comics honing their shows before spending three weeks in Edinburgh.

Shows in June and July also include Works In Progress from Ali Woods, Jaz Mattu, Dan Wye, Plastic Jeezus and Will Sebag Montefiore.

Museum of Comedy manager Becky Webster said: “This is a brilliant line up of comedy talent and you’ll get the chance to see shows as they develop – which is always exciting.   For Londoners it’s a perfect way to get a taste of the Edinburgh Fringe – before it happens.”
