Comedy acts to grace the Pleasance will include Nina Conti, Angela Burns, and Showstopper! The Improvised Musical. Conti will be running a dating show called ‘Hot Mess’, presented by News Quiz and Mock The Week regular Angela Barnes. The sketch will run from August 3rd to 28th at the Grand from 6 pm.

Conti has said: “I’m so thrilled to be going back to Edinburgh after all this time, it’ll feel like a magic bullet tonic after these last couple of years. It’s easily the most fun, vibrant, and ridiculous arts festival I know and my favourite place to play. I think Edinburgh 2022 is gonna boss it.”

‘Shimmy Shake’ presented by Michael McIntyre, Romesh Ranganathan, and tour support Jake Lambert will be held at the Baby Grand at 7.05 pm.

Debut acts include Josh Jones and his ‘Waste Of Space’ stand-up which will be staged in Bunker 3 at 8.30 pm. Jones had previously been part of the Pleasance Reserve line-up in 2019.

It has also been announced that Cirque Berserk! will return to the Pleasance following its smash hit West End run in 2021. It will be running from 6:30 pm

Long-running shows NewsRevue and The Importance of Being… Earnest? will also be returning to the Pleasance.

Tickets for all the shows are available from the Pleasance website.
