Zach Zucker: Spectacular Industry Showcase – Review

Zach Zucker really has all the elements that make up a showbiz star, and this crazy hour demonstrates it all. He sings, he dances, and he raps all while practically bouncing off the walls with a uniquely exuberant energy.

This boisterous clown commands the stage (and the rest of the venue) in his glorious sequin shirt as he proves that he really will do anything to get a laugh. Zucker has charisma coming out his ears as he proves his prowess in every facet of the entertainment industry, all while humorously telling the audience just how awful it really is.

It’s not deep or profound but it certainly is daft as Zucker has an impressive grasp on his own hilarious style. Zucker’s comedic timing is absolutely on point, but he also exhibits phenomenal crowd work and great script writing.

He teases and toys with the audience, but every recipient of his banter know they are part of a really special set and take it well. One such gentleman was the perennial victim of Zucker’s exceedingly funny tomfoolery. But it’s moments like these alongside his abundance of amazingly witty skits that gets everyone on Zucker’s side, even if he is American.

One moment that I think encapsulates the title – ‘Spectacular Industry Showcase’ -better than any other, is when Zucker finally strips back the vail of absurdity and sings a song from the heart. He may joke about the difficulties artists face, but it is a genuine struggle. This song is full of raw emotion and backed by some wonderfully vulnerable vocals. This man can really sing.

Zach Zucher is simply a brilliant clown. He’s chaotic and fun and nobody in the room knows what is coming next. In the all too brief time you spend with him, he will make you laugh and win your heart.
