The dashing and elegant Reuben Kaye is a natural at commanding the stage and the audience for his solo cabaret art piece.
Kaye possesses a brilliance of storytelling as well as a soulful singing voice. Kaye’s show focuses on social issues using his platform to discuss his own experiences as a gay man in the public eye. Kaye explains about the time he was part of a Channel 4 documentary that resulted in death threats, and in true Kaye fashion he couldn’t resist biting back at the trolls.
Kaye comes across as incredibly smart and witty. He has some of the best comedic timing you’ll ever see, accompanied by perfect facial expressions that make the audience erupt in raucous laughter.
The original songs sung by Kaye have a timeless quality about them and you almost think that you’ve heard them before. His powerful singing voice compliments the melodies of his band, resulting in a gorgeous performance of music.
After a packed show and a standing ovation, Kaye is still able to remain personable and approachable to the audience. As he makes sure to greet everyone coming in, and even taking the time to move guests who would have had an obstructed view so that they get the whole experience. He also makes sure to get pictures afterwards with those who ask, as well as display his ingenious merchandise products.
