Comedy: Steve Gribbin Celebrates Forty Years in Comedy with All Star Liverpool Gala Night

Musical comic Steve Gribbin has decided to celebrate his forty years in comedy by hosting a comedy gala at the Hot Water Club in Liverpool, where he is a favourite performer.

Steve, known for his satirical songs and unflinching political commentary, will present Steve Gribbin: Forty Years in the Saddle at the club in Blackstock Market on October 21.

Joining him on the bill will be Gary Delaney, Nina Gilligan, Mick Ferry, Kate Tracey, Tez Ilyas, Daliso Chaponda, Justin Moorhouse and Phil Chapman.

He said he was delighted to be joined by such a stellar line up and promises: “an evening of riotous, raucous laughter and pure joy.”

The comic said “ I decided to do this because I wanted to celebrate a life lived in comedy, from Penzance to Perth, from Church Hall to Chester Town Hall.

“It’s an amazing bill, am so chuffed to have them all on the one show! Great value for £10!”

Proceeds from the gala comedy night will go to Asthma and Lung UK, a charity close to Steve’s heart.

He said: “I’m raising money for Asthma & Lung UK because my Dad died of lung disease in 2004 and I want to give something back.”
