Jason Manford, Jason Byrne, Rich Hall, Jo Caulfield, Henning Wehn, Ria Lina and Ben Elton are among those appearing at the Southport Comedy Festival from September 27 – October 13.

The Festival, which is now in its thirteenth year takes place in a giant marquee in Victoria Park in the lovely seaside town.

Southport New Comedian of the Year contest, supported by Dragon Soop, will help promote the stars of the future, with eight finalists selected from applicants across the country, battling it out in the final on October 6.

The line up for the 17 day comedy festival also includes Jimeoin, Patrick Monahan, Mark Thomas, Hal Cruttenden and The Raymond and Mr Timkins Review. Southport podcaster and rising star Katie Tracey is also making an appearance and podcaster and comic Dan Nightingale will be hosting variety nights.
