Writer, Improviser and comedian Susan Harrison makes perfect use of all these credentials in her character-filled show.
The hilarious unpredictable events begin as you receive a Kazoo on entrance like a key to the show. With that, she’s off
Eccentric accents and choreography completely immerse you in the diverse characters she represents on stage. Harrison is incredibly funny and totally random at all times, which you realise after meeting a doll, a rather rageful panda and many more creations. It’s hard to know when one act stops and another one begins. To solve this, Susan includes mini “intermissions” between characters that keep you just as entertained.
At no point is the audience silent, and you get the sense that if they were, Susan would fix that very soon in the most unthought-of way possible.
It seems Harrison’s ideas are endless, and her skills are limitless. She bounces off the audience so well for the size of the venue, it makes me wonder if she just prefers a smaller audience so she can involve everyone. Not that she has to try, her characters naturally get you so involved, you just want to know everything about them.
