Comedy critic Kate Copstick is the host of a new Fringe comedy podcast.
The series was recorded at Paradise Palms vegetarian restaurant on Lothian Street and features the sage critic in conversation with Fringe comics.
Copstick (as she prefers to be known) said: ” As soon as I walked into the place I knew it would be called Copstick in Paradise.
“It’s just glorious – so camp and wonderful.”
Guests on the podcast, which is in nine episodes all available on Youtube, include Andrew O’Neill, Tiff Stevenson and Gilded Balloon big boss Karen Koren.
Also included in the line-up is Fringe performers’ champion and world class cheese eater Mark Dean Quinn, the delightful Stacey Claire, who created and performs in the show Ask a Stripper, and Fringe oddball Nate Kitch – who apparently has a hat this year.

Copstick said: “There were some people I knew and some I’d never met. We tried to get a really good mix of people. Some were from the posher end of the Fringe and others were from the down and dirty end of the Fringe, which is where I tend to be found.
“Everybody got on so well and what was fantastic was that there was so much exchanging of phone numbers. I think we doubled the ticket sales for the first week of everyone’s shows.
“It was so much fun and I found myself shutting up and not having to talk because everyone else was so fascinating.”
