Internationally acclaimed Ukrainian-American artist Kelsie Kimberlin continues to unite music and activism with the release of her powerful new single and cinematic music video “Dream of Peace,” out September 19th. Timed for the International Day of Peace, the video made its world premiere at the International Peace Concert in Los Angeles, underscoring Kimberlin’s mission to use art as a force for hope and global unity.
“Dream of Peace” was filmed in Kyiv in August 2025 in the midst of one of the most intense waves of missile and drone strikes since the war began. Despite the danger and uncertainty, Kimberlin returned to Ukraine to create the project as a tribute to the strength and resilience of the Ukrainian people. The video was directed by Denys Akulov and produced by TOBE Production, the acclaimed Ukrainian team known for their work on Ed Sheeran’s viral “2Step” video. Using advanced motion control and striking visual narratives, the video moves between a bleak, destroyed world and a renewed, life-filled Earth.
The story follows Kimberlin as she journeys through a barren desert where she discovers a fallen astronaut. In a dramatic twist, she removes the helmet and finds that the astronaut is herself. The moment reflects a symbolic message about humanity’s role in its own destruction and the search for inner peace. The final image of Kimberlin standing in a field of sunflowers beneath a clear blue sky captures the beauty, hope, and national colors of Ukraine.
The track was produced by Ukrainian composer Yuriy Shapeta and Colombian producer Pedro Vengoechea. It begins with haunting orchestral and choral elements that gradually build into a powerful and emotional crescendo. Vocal director Larry Friedman helped shape Kimberlin’s moving vocal performance, while Grammy winner Liam Nolan, known for his work with Adele, mixed the track. Grammy nominee Stuart Hawkes, who worked with Amy Winehouse, handled mastering.
This release is Kimberlin’s sixth single in 2025 and follows a year of major achievement both artistically and humanitarianly. She was honored with the United Nations Humanitarian Award as well as the St. George’s Royal Medal of Honor from King Charles for her ongoing support and advocacy for Ukraine. With tens of millions of streams and more than 100 original songs written and recorded, Kimberlin continues to build a global career rooted in purpose and impact.
Later this year she will release a feature-length film about Ukraine that includes a soundtrack of her original music. She will also launch a worldwide tour to promote the film, raise awareness about the realities of war, and share stories of strength and hope.
