Irish singer-songwriter Gerron is set to release her debut EP, CHOKE!, a five-track collection that explores heartbreak, identity, growth, and resilience while showcasing her evolution as an artist.
Known for her soulful vocals and emotionally honest songwriting, Gerron combines vulnerable storytelling with soaring harmonies, atmospheric production, and infectious pop hooks across the project. The EP follows the release of lead single “Messy,” an energetic breakup anthem that channels frustration and betrayal into a cathartic, dance-ready track.At its heart, CHOKE! is about confronting difficult emotions and embracing personal growth. Each song captures a different stage of that journey, moving from heartbreak and self-doubt toward empowerment and self-discovery.“This EP feels like the most honest version of me,” Gerron says. “Every song represents something I’ve experienced, and I feel like this music finally captures who I am as an artist and as a person.”Created in collaboration with songwriter and producer Daniel Brazil, the EP highlights Gerron’s distinctive vocal style through layered harmonies and polished pop production.To celebrate the release, Gerron will perform her first headline show at Kino in Cork, giving fans the chance to hear songs from CHOKE! live.
