Joelle Rae (The Witcher) and Emrhys Cooper (Nosferatu) are set to star in The Nice Ones, a chilling new psychological horror and sci-fi thriller arriving in UK cinemas on 19th November. The film is already available on streaming platforms across North America and other international territories.
Taking a seemingly idyllic countryside getaway and turning it into a nightmare, The Nice Ones follows a group of friends whose Airbnb escape takes a sinister turn after Kate witnesses strange lights moving across the night sky. As tensions begin to rise within the group, an unsettling presence starts to infiltrate the house, forcing Kate to confront the darkest corners of her past and a terrifying otherworldly threat.Written and directed by Peter Stylianou, the filmmaker behind 2024’s vampire feature Drained, The Nice Ones blends psychological horror with science fiction, drawing inspiration from genre classics including The Thing and Invasion of the Body Snatchers.Joining Rae and Cooper is an ensemble cast featuring Donna Preston (The Sandman, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald), Ian Whyte (Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire), Daniela Norman (Tiny Pretty Things), Ayvianna Snow (How to Kill Monsters), James Akka (The Sandman), Nick Lavelle (Red XII), Tom Kelsey (National Theatre Live: Dr. Strangelove) and Andrew Lyle-Pinnock (The Little Mermaid). The film also marks a major milestone for Ayvianna Snow, who makes her producing debut and launches her new production company, Snow Pictures. The Nice Ones is the company’s first feature, with Snow producing alongside Peter Stylianou and Nick Lavelle.Discussing the inspiration behind the film, Stylianou said: “Instead of making darkness the source of fear, as so many horror films do, I wanted to explore light — and the darker, more disturbing, cult-like side of worshipping it. The Nice Ones is a mix of the Manson Family and Invasion of the Body Snatchers, exploring what happens when something that appears beautiful, pure and inviting becomes deeply sinister.”The Nice Ones is an RG Films production in association with Level 33 Entertainment, Century Park Entertainment and Snow Pictures. The film arrives in UK cinemas on 19th November.
