If you thought Hong Kong is a safe city, think again, because it has a dark past featuring serial killers, drug smugglers and corruption on its doorstep. Catching Worms is a brand-new true crime podcast which features the detectives and specialists that worked behind-the-scenes and undercover on some of the most infamous crimes in Hong Kong’s history and its dark past of corruption, smuggling and serial murder.

Each month a new crime story will be released, with episodes released daily from the 1st of the month, starting with July.

The series is produced by Create, will be releasing daily episodes from the 1st July with a new crime story every month. Listeners can expect real stories with expert interviews and a look at Hong Kong’s darker side

Suzy Jamison, Production Director at Create says: “During the pandemic we have seen a dramatic increase in the number of people in Hong Kong looking for new podcasts to listen to. True crime has captured our fascination and these crimes are the most intriguing we’ve come across.”

Starting off with The Jars Murderer, the shocking story of taxi driver Lam Kor Wan who targeted female fares for nefarious reasons.

Episode one of Catching Worms: A Hong Kong True Crime Podcast will be available from 1 July on Acast, Apple Podcasts, Spotify or wherever you get your podcasts.
