More than 300 rare pieces of music memorabilia collected over five decades by music industry veteran Lindsay Brown will go under the hammer at Omega Auctions in Merseyside on September 15, 2026.
The collection, titled Time Has Told Me – 50 Years in Music – The Lindsay Brown Collection, features memorabilia connected to some of music’s biggest names, including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Kate Bush, Nick Drake, Black Sabbath, The New York Dolls, Queen, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple.
Brown began his music career in 1969 promoting concerts at Ewell Technical College, where acts included Black Sabbath, Genesis, Nick Drake and Atomic Rooster. He later held senior positions at Red Bus, MAM, Polydor and Eagle Rock Entertainment, working with artists including Kate Bush, Elvis Costello, The Cure, Queen, Björk and The Rolling Stones.
Among the standout auction lots is an extremely rare 1970 poster advertising Atomic Rooster, Genesis and Nick Drake at Ewell Technical College. Expected to fetch more than £5,000, it is believed to be the first example of its kind to reach the open market.
Also featured is a poster advertising Nick Drake’s final public concert, valued at more than £2,000, alongside a rare New York Dolls poster from their first UK performance in 1973.
Other highlights include authenticated Beatles autographs, a Keith Richards-signed Fender Telecaster, 1960s Rolling Stones autographs featuring Brian Jones, a 1969 Woodstock ticket, Queen memorabilia from their 1976 Hyde Park concert and a collection of Kate Bush tour memorabilia.
There are also rare posters connected to Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, The Doors, The Yardbirds and Deep Purple.
Reflecting on the collection, Brown said: “My collection reflects a lifetime in the music industry and a lifelong passion for music.”
With estimates ranging from around £50 to several thousand pounds, the sale offers collectors the chance to own a piece of music history — much of it with a direct connection to Brown’s remarkable career.
The Lindsay Brown Collection will be auctioned at Omega Auctions in Merseyside on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
