Perrys have recently launched a brand new, online tool – TV & Film Staycation Locations – which showcases 21 stunning locations linked to well-known series and films that staycation seekers can visit during their break away this summer.

Since many are opting for staycations and travel inside of the country rather than abroad Perrys filming location tool will allow for you to make your staycations a little more exciting. Each destinations is based on the location of a popular film or TV series filmed locally, such as Bridgerton, Downtown Abbey, Game of Thrones and many more.

The tool also reveals key information on each local area, including attractions and spots to visit that were featured on the big screen.

For those who fancy getting away to somewhere they’ve seen on screen, the online tool suggests many holiday destinations that have also featured in much-loved movies and TV shows, providing the perfect base for exploring iconic filming locations from breath taking waterfalls to historic castles.

The following are even more locations featured on the map:

  • East Midlands – Mary Queen of Scots
  • East of England – Theory of Everything, Maleficent
  • London – Love Actually
  • North East – Harry Potter
  • Northern Ireland – Line of Duty, Game of Thrones
  • Scotland – Trainspotting, Skyfall
  • South East – The Holiday, Bridgerton, Gladiator, The Vicar of Dibley
  • South West – Downton Abbey, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Doc Martin, Poldark
  • Wales – Doctor Who, The Dark Knight Rises, Robin Hood
  • West Midlands – Sex Education

By clicking on the icon of a film or TV series, on the site each pop-up box offers a little background on the filming, such as when filming took place and the movie or TV series was released, as well as some of the key actors and actresses that featured. Alongside this, each pop-up box offers one or more key filming spot for families and tourists to locate on their trip, which featured on the big screen and they will recognise and be able to explore and take Instagram-worthy photos at.
