Aussie alt country pop band Germein Release New Single ‘Suitcase’

Aussie alt country pop band Germein is made up of three sisters Georgia (guitar, keys), Ella (bass, electric cello) & Clara Germein (drums. The trio have just announced the release of their brand new single ‘Suitcase’, ahead of their performances at The Great Escape in Brighton this May. These shows follow their debut USA performances at SXSW.

The trio wrote, recorded & produced ‘Suitcase’ entirely themselves at their home studio in the Adelaide Hills. The track includes earthy tones, edgy guitars and percussive drums, with soaring vocals completing their iconic sibling harmonies.

The siblings have made huge progressions, going from jamming together on their family farm in South Australia, to opening stadium shows for Little Mix and Jess Glynne, and headlining the Big Top at the Isle of Wight Festival. Germein’s energetic and charismatic live performances have been described as nothing short of mesmerising.

“I wrote Suitcase about those heartbreaking moments when you have to leave someone you love, but all you really want is to take them with you. I really wanted to emphasize that feeling of packing up and leaving, so I recorded samples of a real suitcase – like the sound of locking it and throwing it on the ground – to add that extra layer.”

The band is continuing to stay busy following Great Escape, with a performance at Tunes in the Dunes Festival in Cornwall (James Bay, Kaiser Chiefs), Isle of Wight Festival (George Ezra, Robbie Williams), and Lytham Festival (Sting, Blondie). They have also been announced as the support for Tom Jones, Sharon Corr, Skye Christy, Arno Carstens this summer, as well as The Corrs Australian and New Zealand Tour later in the year.
