Just in time for the return of iconic Aussie soap Neighbours next month, Alan Fletcher, who has played Dr Karl Kennedy on the show for 28 years, has released a fan tribute to one of Ramsay Street’s most beloved characters – Susan Kennedy.
(I’ve Got a) Crush on Susie K is a tender, catchy and humorous expression of adoration for the undisputed Queen of Ramsay Street. “I sang the song every night on the Neighbours Celebration tour and fans loved it!” said Alan. “I was overwhelmed with the number of requests to record and release the song.”
Millions of Neighbour’s fans were devastated when the show was axed from world-wide television screens in 2022. The adventures of Ramsay Street’s legendary citizens had held audiences enthralled for 37 years. To the delight of the viewers, Amazon and Channel TEN Australia have rescued the programme and Neighbour’s returns to television screens all over the world on September 18, 2023.
There seems little doubt that Neighbours fan’s affection for Susan Kennedy will lead them to embrace Alan’s tribute – as they celebrate the return of the Aussie drama.
