International Emerging Artists Take the Stage at The Great Escape Festival

A stellar lineup of up-and-coming musical acts from around the world will perform at the “Official Alternative Great Escape Stage” showcase on Thursday, May 16th in Brighton. Presented by Impressive PR & Planetary Group, the event will feature six buzzworthy artists making waves in indie, folk, pop and rock genres.

The lineup includes Canadian singer-songwriter Marissa Burwell, whose warm vocals and insightful lyricism have earned her acclaim on the international festival circuit. Scottish duo No Windows will bring their award-winning blend of folk and dreampop, fresh off the release of their latest EP “Point Nemo” on Fat Possum Records.

From Wales, the female-fronted art-rock band HMS Morris will showcase their uniquely “multi-dimensional sound” that has garnered two nominations for the Welsh Music Prize. Canadian alt-rockers Hotel Mira are riding high after a string of standout shows at SXSW in support of their new single “Waste Away.”

Australian indie artist Asha Jefferies will perform tracks from her self-reflective debut album “Ego Ride,” having built a following through tours with Julia Jacklin and Stella Donnelly. Rounding out the bill are epic pop pioneers My Life Story, led by charismatic frontman Jake Shillingford, known for their passionate live performances.

The event runs from 12pm to 4pm at the Secret Comedy Club, providing an intimate setting to discover the next breakout stars before they hit major festival stages. The Great Escape festival features over 500 emerging artists performing in 30+ Brighton venues from May 16-18.
