Entertainment Now is happy to announce its WoW (Week on Week) awards for Edinburgh Fringe Week Two.
Outstanding shows are recommended by our team of reviewers each week.
This week’s winners are:
COMEDY
Dylan Mulvaney: Faghag, Assembly Theatre
Mulvaney – who is making her Fringe debut – has created a full on autobiographical musical about her own life story. Our reviewer Melissa Findlay loved it.
THEATRE
My English Persian Kitchen, The Traverse
This tale of love and cooking captured the heart of our reviewer Latharna Imlah – who recommended it for an award for outstanding theatre.
NEWCOMER
Will Owen: Like, Nobody’s Watching
Reviewer Melissa Findlay picked out Will Owen as a future star, in her five star review of his show, Like, Nobody’s Watching.
MYSTIC MALITZA AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING CHARISMA
And finally. Our resident astrologer Mystic Malitza is in town and was asked to select an outstanding show in a category of her own choosing. She chose Australian comic Josh Thomas for his show Let’s Tidy Up.
When asked why, the retired drag queen, who lives in Blackpool, said she wanted to give Josh the award for Outstanding Charisma.
You can read Mystic Malitza’s Fringe predictions here. So far they have been uncannily accurate.
The WoW – Week on Week Awards were introduced last year as a way to spread the love throughout the three weeks of the Edinburgh Fringe. You can read about last week’s winners here:
