Australian artist Emeree releases her new single ‘Eyesore’ on 26th June through Xelon Digital.
This track comes hot on the heels of her UK debut single ‘Spring Cleaning’ that received stellar reviews across the board and kick started a strong following this side of the pond. She had already amassed millions of views on social media with growing fanbase across the world.
“Eyesore” is a sugar-coated slice of Pop revenge wrapped in addictive R&B production, tongue-in-cheek lyrics, and vocals that don’t just cut — they slice clean through.
The artist says: “Eyesore” is the anthem for anyone who’s ever dated someone who treated them horribly and just wasn’t hot enough to get away with it.
“It’s petty. It’s polished. It’s the kind of revenge that smiles while it stings,”
Co-written and co-produced with Christian Tjandrawinata, the track features her signature stacked harmonies, silkysmooth vocal runs, and whip-smart lyricism that combine into a glossy, venomous earworm. Think Sabrina Carpenter, RAYE and Mark Ronson all in one.
The release is paired with a killer DIY music video complete with vintage aesthetics, 80s camp horror influences, and a narrative twist that ends in metaphorical (and maybe literal?) murder, EMEREE proves she’s as much a visual storyteller as she is a sonic force.
She’s fresh from an explosive Great Escape performance and UK studio sessions with industry heavyweights, including Invisible Men (Jessie J, Iggy Azalea), Eg White (Adele), and more. She has recently returned from the Anti Social Camp for songwriters in New York for which she was hand-picked for and is soon set to work with global icon Nile Rogers.
Newly signed with CAA (Creative Artists Agency), she’s gearing up for a summer of international stages and even bolder releases.
