Rock Royalty in Conversation – Stewart Copeland Live at Cheltenham Town Hall

Few drummers have left a mark on music history quite like Stewart Copeland. Known as the powerhouse behind The Police, Copeland’s career is nothing short of extraordinary. A multi-Grammy winner, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, and one of the greatest drummers of all time, he has shaped the sound of rock and beyond with his inventive rhythms and unstoppable energy.

Before catapulting to international stardom with The Police, Copeland honed his craft with progressive rock band Curved Air from 1975 to 1976. From there, he propelled The Police to global domination between 1977 and 1986, creating hits that still resonate decades later. But his creative journey didn’t stop when the band’s meteoric rise came to an end. Copeland went on to compose acclaimed Hollywood soundtracks, write books, form a supergroup, produce films, and compose for ballet, opera, and classical music—showcasing a versatility few artists can match.

In this fascinating “Evening With” event, Stewart Copeland will take fans behind the curtain of his remarkable life as a performer, musician, entertainer, and writer. Attendees can expect candid stories, insights into his creative process, and reflections on a career that spans some of the most iconic moments in modern music.

Whether you’re a lifelong fan of The Police, a student of music history, or simply curious about the mind of a true creative force, this evening promises to be an unforgettable journey through the life of a living legend.

Stewart Copeland: Have I Said Too Much? is at Cheltenham Town Hall on 26th October, tickets are available here
