Trailblazing pianist and composer Chloe Flower ushers in the festive season with the release of her new album, She Composed: The Holidays, out via her label, Popsical Music Group. Marking a historic first, the album stands as the world’s first instrumental holiday record entirely composed by women, spanning centuries of musical innovation, from medieval hymnography to modern composition.

Across the album, Flower brings her now-iconic “popsical” sound – a contemporary and vital reimagining at the cross-section of pop and classical. Anchored by Flower’s piano and adorned with gorgeous vocal and orchestral arrangements, performed by The Academy of St Martin in the Field Orchestra and The English National Opera Choir, the project bridges quintessential festive warmth with the modern elegance Flower’s music is known for.

“This album is dedicated to female composers – past, present, and future. The holidays have always been my favorite time of year, yet the music we hear in the concert halls is almost never written by women. I hope this album inspires a change in that tradition so that women’s music becomes an equal part of concert programming, and not just at the holidays!” Flower shares.

She Composed: The Holidays shines a light on pioneering female composers including Florence Beatrice Price, the first African American woman to have a symphony performed by a major orchestra; Elfrida Andréé, Sweden’s first female cathedral organist and a champion of women’s rights in music. The album also celebrates contemporary voices such as Katie Jenkins, known for her interdisciplinary collaborations (including with Flower herself); Errollyn Wallen, the first Black woman to serve as Master of the King’s Music; and Flower’s own compositions, which blend classical virtuosity with modern sensibility.

With previous album singles “Song for Snow” and “O viridissima virga” serving as a fitting representation of its ethos, the project embodies Chloe’s mission to uplift female musicians in the classical space, honouring history’s most impactful female musicians while adding her signature style, making each track uniquely her own.

Flower will be debuting live performances of She Composed: The Holidays at upcoming shows in the US this December and will continue to ride the momentum into 2026 with a run of performances across the UK and EU. Emblematic of her mass appeal and following across the world, she is set to play her music to her legion of fans in London, Manchester, Utrecht, Rotterdam, and Hamburg throughout April.
