Singer-songwriter Bear Bolton has released her debut album, Time To Revive, a deeply personal collection of songs exploring love, loss, resilience, motherhood, recovery, and self-discovery.
Written over the past three years and released as Bolton turns 40, the album marks a major creative milestone for the artist, who spent years balancing a professional career while quietly pursuing her passion for songwriting. Drawing from experiences including marriage, military life, separation, mental health struggles, and personal reinvention, Time To Revive blends blues, reggae, rock, folk, and classical influences while remaining rooted in honest storytelling.
“I’m a naturally private person,” Bolton says. “So sharing these stories hasn’t come easily. But I can only write about real life, real feelings. If listeners feel less alone, then the album’s done what I hoped it would do.”
Family plays a central role in the project, with musical contributions from Bolton’s stepbrother and nephew, while photography and videography were created by her sister.
Highlights include the bluesy opener “Tequila Talkin’,” the reggae-infused “Last Night,” the wedding-inspired love song “This Love,” and the title track, a rock anthem encouraging women to reclaim themselves after years of putting others first.
With Time To Revive, Bolton introduces herself as a songwriter unafraid to share life’s challenges and triumphs, turning personal experience into music that aims to connect and inspire.
