Los Angeles-based artist Dolce Wang has released Any Other Way, a new album that blends shoegaze, indie folk, and electronic dream pop into an emotionally resonant exploration of love, grief, resilience, and self-discovery.
Drawing on her background as a classically trained cellist, Wang combines lush strings, textured guitars, cinematic production, and heartfelt songwriting to create a sound that will appeal to fans of Beach House, Japanese Breakfast, Dido, and Imogen Heap.
Written over a decade of travel across the United States, South America, Eastern Europe, West Africa, and Asia, the album reflects on the shared emotions and experiences that connect people across cultures. “This album contains the whispers from the road less traveled,” Wang says. “I wouldn’t have done it any other way.”
The record features an international lineup including drummer Serge Milenkovic, bassist and producer Aleksandar “Meksi” Sasha Panich, and violinist Edith Lin, whose contributions help shape the album’s sweeping mix of intimate acoustic moments and expansive dream-pop textures.
Outside of her solo work, Wang has performed at venues including Carnegie Hall and Walt Disney Concert Hall, while also building a career in immersive entertainment as a former Walt Disney Imagineer.
To mark the album’s release, Any Other Way will make its live debut on July 25 and 26, 2026, at Venia Studio in downtown Los Angeles as part of an immersive concert experience featuring installation art, mixed media, fashion, and a full performance by Wang and her band.
