The Ideal Home Show is the biggest home show in the business and is crammed with cutting edge innovations, revolutionary concepts and the power to make a real dent in your bank balance!

The space is expansive, and as we stepped through the grand entrance, we were met with a charming sight of pastel pink hues and blooming flowers. Our attention was immediately drawn to the ‘Ideal Phone’ photo opportunity—a delightful twist on the traditional phone booth, painted in pastel pink and adorned with blossoms, which other attendees were making full use of.

The balcony was unfortunately a bit like a jumble sale, however, there were a few stand outs Shark’s blow dry bar, featuring live demonstrations that left visitors with flawless blowouts, and Leaf’s innovative laundry detergent sheets, a space-saving eco-friendly solution. However, amidst these gems, there was an overwhelming presence of mundane items like food choppers, lint removers, and telescopic pole cleaners, lacking the spark of inspiration.

The back of the balcony in the food and drink section was far more interesting, Urban Rhino Gin stood out as an exceptional product with a great message, “Sip Gin, Save Rhinos” we have never heard of a better reason for a bevvy, we had the pleasure of sampling their brand new vodka and can happily say it is delicious.

The main floor is where the ideal home show really shines, From affordable options to aspirational treasures, there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re seeking practical solutions for everyday living or just browsing, the main floor offers an immersive experience that leaves you inspired.

First up we loved family owned MaxKing, makers of high quality authentic BBQ’s perfect for Cypriot/Greek food which we adore

We stopped by to see the RSPB, did you know they are not only all about birds? We learnt about how the dwindling hedgehog population and how they urgently need our help, you can learn more and find out how to get involved right here

Check out this stunning artwork from Yard Art, who are soon to be appearing on Dragon’s Den, Their beautiful range is crafted to enhance your garden walls, boasting weatherproof, long-lasting, and UV-resistant pieces that will impress your guests at summer BBQs. Plus, you can customize the lion to resemble your own pet!

Want more garden inspo? The Husqvana Auto Cut is an automatic lawn mower, no more pushing a heavy mower up and down your garden, simply switch this guy on and let him do all the work, it’s like a Roomba for your garden!

At the heart of the show stands the Dream Home. Marking a historic first in the show’s 115-year legacy, every product showcased within this awe-inspiring residence is available for purchase right on the show floor.

Step into full-scale rooms meticulously crafted and envisioned in collaboration with renowned designers, brands, and suppliers. Each space is a treasure trove of ideas and creativity, presenting a myriad of styles, colours, patterns, and textures to spark inspiration for your own home projects. From art to furniture, accessories to appliances, and cutting-edge home tech, every corner invites exploration, with knowledgeable representatives on standby to guide you through the experience.

The show is a great place to get inspiration for making your home whatever you want it to be, I came home bursting with ideas and plans. I took advantage of some of the excellent exclusive discounts and can’t wait to return next year.
