Just The Tonic has added 128 shows to its highly anticipated lineup for the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe, showcasing 128 shows spanning comedy, theatre, cabaret, magic, and family entertainment. Tickets are now available for purchase, offering a diverse range of performances featuring acclaimed acts from the UK, including Scottish talent, as well as international sensations, both established performers and promising newcomers.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary in August, Just The Tonic introduces two new venues to its portfolio: Just The Tonic Legends on Cowgate and Just The Tonic at Cabaret Voltaire on Blair Street. This expansion reflects the JTT’s commitment to delivering top-notch entertainment at the Fringe.
The comedy programme is set to impress, with renowned acts like Andrew Maxwell, double Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee and TV fixture, expressed his excitement for returning to the Fringe with his show ‘The Bare Maximum’ at The Nucleus, Just The Tonic’s flagship venue. Joining Maxwell are esteemed comedians such as Nina Gilligan, Lucy Porter, Jimeoin, Patrick Monahan, and Craig Hill, among others, guaranteeing laughter-filled evenings for audiences.
Noteworthy additions to the lineup include Alfie Brown, nominee for the Edinburgh Comedy Awards Best Show 2022, presenting his subversive stand-up. Meanwhile, US up and comers making their debuts include Viv Ford who unintentionally moved into what she thought was a castle but turned out to be a tech-filled townhouse inhabited by 14 cryptocurrency-obsessed male roommates, Olivia Levinepresents a very candid and raunchy comedy show about being a chronic public masturbator and her quest to embrace her queer sexuality, Kyle Ayers chronicles his enduring battle with Trigeminal Neuralgia, also known as Suicide Disease,using humor as his coping mechanism amidst daily electrocuting pain and Natasha Pearl Hansen takes you on the journey of breakup recovery, self-rediscovery, and tales of her relationships with men, family, money, health, and the grotesque modern ideologies of adulthood.
In addition to comedy, Just The Tonic offers a plethora of family-friendly shows, immersive cabaret performances, mesmerizing magic acts, and thought-provoking theatre productions. Highlights include ‘Inside The Robot: Kids in Control!’, ‘Bottoms Up! At Burlesque, Gin and Jazz’, and ‘The Ballad of Steve Jobs and Buck Taskaroo’, ensuring entertainment for all ages and tastes.
