Day 5 | Friday 17th March

Australia House

Mane

With a deep husky voice, this artist certainly stands out from the pack. She emotes and performs each song beautifully. Her new single “Breathing Again” is enchanting’ For fans of Joan Armatrading.

Civics

Grungy, raw, gravelly speed rock. Motörhead fans will love this!

Tulliah

This singer songwriter is an alt country vocalist, with a lovely stage presence as she talks to the audience about her songs. Pitch perfect and emotionally connected to her lyrics, she is a certainly a talent. I look forward to hearing her album.

Annie Hamilton

Fabulously quirky vocalist who wears massive black Angel wings on her back certainly makes an impact at this showcase. Musically hard to compare – the keys sound like Brit band the Lightening Seeds, but it also have elements of Blondie. Very cool.

Music From Ireland showcase

Somebody’s Child

An Indie guitar act that knows how to put on a show! In this relatively small venue they manage to pull off an arena performance, getting the audience to sing along even if they weren’t familiar with the band’s music. An Irish gem.

Junk Drawer

Not the best name in the world for not the best band either. Twangy guitar gloom pop. Not one for me.
